About us

Uchama Secondary School was first established  to provide independent education at our site near Nzega in 1975. Surrounded by our school fields and growing much of our food ourselves, our aim has always been to be a learning community which, according to our motto, offers:

“Education for mental, physical and spiritual development”

Our vision is to provide: “Quality Education” and our mission is to : “mould a good citizen of Tanzania”

We are dedicated to academic excellence and believe that it is our responsibility to provide every student with effective teaching and quality education. In addition, we also encourage respect for the individuality of each student and recognition of his or her talents, interests and potential. It is our goal to provide all of our students with high quality personal care.

Our School offers education at secondary level in a wide range of subjects from Form 1 to Form 6. All subjects are taught through the medium of English. We insist that English is spoken throughout the school, during the whole school day, even before and after lessons, and during any breaks.
